We would like to give a shout out to PTO for a fun last week of school with hosting the Bubble Lady for preschool and hosting Field Day for both preschool and kindergarten (thanks to Mr. Zinn and volunteers as well)!
Thanks to all our students, families, volunteers, and staff for an amazing year! We wish everyone a wonderful summer. We hope you enjoy the break from school, and we look forward to seeing our new and returning preschool and kindergarten students back here mid-August. To our kindergarten students moving on to Ellsworth Hill, we wish you all the best as 1st graders this fall!
August 14: McDowell Class Lists posted in HAC after 4:00 p.m.
August 15: Bus Garage Open House from 9:00 a.m.-Noon at the Bus Garage 5784 Hudson Dr.
August 17: McDowell Open House from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
August 18: First Day of School for Kindergarten Students with last names A-L (students M-Z will NOT attend). Preschool families will be notified via email their student's first day of school for staggered start.
August 19: First Day of School for Kindergarten Students with last names M-Z (students A-L will NOT attend)
August 20: ALL Kindergarten and Preschool students attend school

Kindergarten 2026-2027 Tuition Schedule: For those students in All Day Kindergarten, please review the tuition schedule below (this is assuming the $200 deposit was already received). Payments can be made via Payschools Central or by check made payable to Hudson City Schools:
● One payment of $3,400.00 due August 3, 2026 (via PaySchools Central or via check)
● Two payments of $1,700.00 each due August 3, 2026 and January 15, 2027
● Four payments:
- $850.00 due August 3, 2026
- $850.00 due September 15, 2026
- $850.00 due November 15, 2026
- $850.00 due January 15, 2027
Preschool 2026-2027 Tuition Schedule: For preschool peers, please review the tuition schedule below. Payments can be made via Payschools Central or by check made payable to Hudson City Schools:
- $500.00 due August 21, 2026
- $500.00 due November 13, 2026
- $500.00 due February 19, 2027
